The Chair at the Edge of the Woods is a 10-minute Southern Gothic thriller, whose themes revolve around domestic violence, revenge, and the consequences of actions. Through the eyes of a man burden with guilt, the narrative unfolds, as he embarks on a frantic quest, to conceal his misdeeds by trying to find an elusive chair.
The inception of this poignant film dates to the pandemic lockdown. This period, marked by isolation, inspired many filmmakers to craft narratives on a more intimate scale. After two years of dedication, trials, and tribulations, the project reached its completion in December 2023. The film is richly textured, drawing inspiration from the mesmerizing landscapes of the South. The forests, country roads, and the omnipresent kudzu vines all play a significant role in bringing this story to life.
